1914 School Book, Lincoln Addresse an Letters 1914 Copyright School Book titled Eclectic English Classics, Lincoln Addresses an Letters edited by Charles W. Moores. This is a wonderful book with over 100 letters and addresses made by Abraham Lincoln from 1850 to his last public speech before his assassination on April 11, 1865. Each letter and address has a small caption explaining the history behind the letter and the reason why it was written. Pictured below, the book even lists some of his personal letters as this one to Mrs. Lincoln dated August 8, 1863. The Book measures 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches with 223 pages. 1884 School Book, Graphic Speller This Childrens School Book is titled WATSON'S GRAPHIC SPELLER, ORAL and WRITTEN, by J. Madison Watson, printed by the A.S. Barnes & Co., Chicago and New York. The book is dated 1884, measures 7 1/2 x 5 inches with 125 pages. The fantastic part of the book we found is the hand written entries in the front of the book by the student and the hand written entry in the back of the book by the teacher. The front entry reads as follows,,, Emma Johnson, Central School, Dec 13, 1888. See picture below. The hand written entry on the rear cover page by what we are sure was the teacher reads as follows,,,,Steal Not this Book for if you do you'll feel the effect of my old shoe. See picture below. 1950s 3D Slide Story Book The Birth of Christ The Birth of Christ is a three Dimensional Story Book manufactured by the RADEX STEREO CO., Los Angeles Calif. We are dating it to the mid 1950's. The Set box for this 3D story Book consists of 6 color slides in which all reads a part of the story as the child views the slides through a hold up to the light viewfinder. The box also included the original Pre-Paid Reply Post Card addressed to the RADEX STEREO CO., 7456 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles 36 Calif. The oppisite side of the card lists all other 3D Stories available costing $1.00 per set. Please look below at all pictures. The inside cover of the box set has the complete story listed in 6 parts which matches each of the 6 slide cards. The viewfinder as the rest of this set is in excellent condition. No marks, cracks or tears. The cover has some wear at the crease from age as to be expected from being opened and closed. A wonderful childrens treasure from days gone by.
